The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of felicitations to Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade of Vanuatu, Jotham Napat on the occasion of their Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, I am delighted to extend sincere greetings to Your Excellency, the Government and to the people of Vanuatu on the occasion of your Independence Day.
As fellow Small Island Developing States (SIDS), I am committed to working together with you to tackle the most pressing regional and global challenges including the threat of climate change and to further strengthen our ties of friendship in the years to come.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest regards and sincere wishes for your good health and happiness, as well as for continued progress and prosperity of the people of your country”.
