The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has sent a message of felicitations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Alberto Neto Pereira, on the occasion of São Tomé and Príncipe’s Independence Day.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Maldives and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of São Tomé and Príncipe, on the joyous occasion of your Independence Day.
With the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries last year, I look forward to increased bilateral engagements between our two countries in the years ahead.
Let me also convey my earnest hopes for continued peace, progress and prosperity for the friendly people of São Tomé and Príncipe.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
