Minister Shahid sends condolences on the passing of the former High Commissioner of Pakistan to Maldives
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the passing of the former High Commissioner of Pakistan to Maldives
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“Your Excellency,
It is with profound sadness that I learnt of the passing of His Excellency Vice Admiral (R) Waseem Akram, former High Commissioner of Pakistan to Maldives. Maldives will perpetually value His Excellency's immense contributions to strengthen the historically strong bilateral relations between our two countries.
At this time of profound sadness, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in extending our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, the Government, and brotherly people of Pakistan.
May Almighty Allah bless his soul and grant his family strength to bear this immeasurable loss.
‘Surely to Allah do we belong and surely to Him is our return.’”
