01 May 2013, Male'; The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdul Samad Abdullah, today launched an awareness song on "Human Trafficking" in conjunction with the International Labour Day. This is part of the "Blue Ribbon Campaign: Stand Against Human Trafficking" which was launched by the Ministry on 9January 2013, to raise awareness among the public on the issue of human trafficking in the Maldives. The campaign is designed to reach out to the general public on the causes and consequences of the crime of trafficking.

26 April 2013, London;The Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) today welcomed the return of Maldives as a fully participating member of the Group. Today's meeting, held at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, was the first scheduled meeting to take place since CMAG decided to permit Maldives' return to the Group at its meeting in September 2012.
