10 April 2013, Male':His Excellency Dr. Abdul Samad Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, met with His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Almujrin Al-Rumi, Director of the Asia Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State of Kuwait.During the meeting H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Almujrin Al-Rumi delivered a letter to H.E. Dr. Abdulla Samad from Sheikh Sabah Khaled AlHamad AlSabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressing appreciation for the bilateral relationship between the two friendly countries in all aspects.
H.E. Dr. Abdulla Samad and H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Almujrin Al-Rumi discussed on ways to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in the international arena between the Maldives and Kuwait.The discussion also focused on exploring possibility of increasing bilateral trade and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Salah A.A.M Albannai, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait, Sri Lanka,H.E Mr. Abdul Azeez Yoosuf,Ambassador-at-large andMs. Khadyja Zahir,Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign of the Maldives.
