29th June 2012, New York; The Ambassador and Chargé d'Affaires of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of the Maldives to the United Nations, Mr. Ahmed Sareer, pledged the Maldives' continuing support for the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. Speaking at the third review of the document that was passed in 2006, he went on to outline the Maldives' dedication to combatting terrorism having acceded to 12 international counter terrorism treaties.
