The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has sent a letter of felicitation to His Excellency Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, in connection with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Maldives and the Republic of Singapore.
On the auspicious occasion of 50 years of strong diplomatic ties and friendly relations between the two countries, Minister Dr. Khaleel extend warm greetings and conveyed that the historic milestone stands as a testament to the enduring partnership between the two countries.
Minister Dr. Khaleel noted the close friendship between Maldives and Singapore that has flourished over the years through people-to-people exchanges, educational collaborations, and trade and economic ties and thanked the Government and the people of Singapore for their continued assistance and cooperation to the Maldives over the years.
He also reiterated his commitment to working closely with Singapore both bilaterally and in the multilateral fora and extended warm wishes to Minister Dr. Balakrishnan and the people of Singapore.
