Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer departs to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on an Official Visit

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer, has departed today on an Official Visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud. Minister Zameer will deliver a letter from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu addressed to His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During the visit, Minister Zameer will engage in high-level discussions with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, to review the longstanding fraternal ties of friendship between the two countries and discuss avenues for future cooperation in areas of mutual interest. This year marked the 43rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minister Zameer is also scheduled to meet with other senior dignitaries of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the Saudi Fund for Development. Minister  Zameer will also interact with the resident Maldivian Community in Riyadh and inquire about their well-being.

During this visit, scheduled to take place from 18th to the 22nd of August, Minister Zameer will be accompanied by Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority, Ahmed Munawar, Ambassador-at-Large, Ahmed Naseer, Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, Joint Secretary, Badoora Saeed, and Director General, Aishath Fareena.
