The meeting was held this afternoon at the hotel in which the ‎Maldivian President is residing at during his official visit to Japan.

15 April 2014, Tokyo; President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has said that the bilateral summit meeting between the Maldives and Japan has been very successful. The President made this remark while speaking to the media at the Japanese Prime Minister's Office, following the bilateral summit meeting. The meeting led by President Yameen and Prime Minister Abe, was held earlier this evening.

15 April 2014, Tokyo; President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has today met with His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan. At the meeting held at the Imperial Residence, discussions were held on the long existing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Japan.
