The Government of Maldives strongly condemns the military projectile attack towards Jizan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 30 January 2021.
The continuation of such deliberate attacks targeting civilian areas and infrastructure clearly violates the international laws, and exhibits the elevated threat to the stability of the region. Such deplorable acts of terrorism indicates the urgent need for constructive engagement by the parties concerned to find peaceful solutions to the conflicts.
The Government of Maldives reaffirms its solidarity with the brotherly people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterates its steadfast commitment to the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
