The Government of Maldives strongly condemns the continuous attacks targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The latest of such deliberate attacks includes the two aerial attacks on Saturday, 6 March 2021 towards Khamis Mushait and Jazan and six aerial attacks on Friday, 5 March 2021 towards residential areas of Khamis Mushait and Ahad Rafidah Governates.
The Government of Maldives stands against these cowardly acts of terrorism, which targets civilian areas, threatening the peace and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the region. Maldives believes that the recent increase of such attacks indicates the urgent need for the concerned parties to reach a peaceful solution through constructive dialogue and diplomacy.
The Government of Maldives reaffirms its solidarity with the brotherly people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and reiterates its strong commitment to stand against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
