The Meeting of the Senior Officials of the Fourth Session of the Maldives – Sri Lanka Joint Commission was held on 6 June 2023, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka. The Meeting was Co-Chaired by Her Excellency Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary, Bilateral at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, and Her Excellency Ms. Yasoja Gunasekera, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, His Excellency M.U.M. Ali Sabry today witnessed the signing of three agreements between the Maldives and Sri Lanka. The agreements were signed during the Fourth Session of the Maldives – Sri Lanka Joint Commission held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.

Mr. Arima Yutaka, Director General of Southeast and Southwest Asian Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan today.
