Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Li Xiaosan paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Moosa Zameer, today.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Zameer and Vice Chairman Li Xiaosan discussed ways to promote building of Yunnan-Maldives cooperative mechanism and to strengthen practical collaboration in economy and trade between the Maldives and Yunnan Province.
Minister Zameer also conveyed his appreciation for the continuous support and assistance provided to the people of the Maldives by the Government of China, highlighting in particular the valuable support extended by the Government of China to the economic development of the Maldives.
Vice Chairman Li Xiaosan expressed his profound gratitude for the warm welcome he received and stated that he is determined to further enhance bilateral relations between China and Maldives.
