Union Minister of the Government of India, H.E. Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, paid a courtesy call on President H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu. The meeting was held this morning in New Delhi.
The meeting focused on bilateral collaboration, with both the President and the Minister expressing their eagerness to strengthen cooperation in areas of shared values and mutual interest.
At the meeting, the President thanked the Prime Minister of India, H.E. Narendra Modi and the Government of India for their ongoing assistance to the Maldives over the years. He also mentioned that it was an honour to be present at the swearing-in ceremony.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister expressed gratitude for the President’s participation in the swearing-in event.
The President and the Minister concluded the meeting by reaffirming their commitment to boosting Maldives-India collaboration in the coming years.
H.E. Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Union Minister of the Republic of India, served as Minister of External Affairs during Prime Minister Modi's previous term.
