The newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Maldives calls on the Minister of Foreign Affairs
The newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Maldives, His Excellency Levan S. Dzhagaryan paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, today.
Minister Shahid welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on presenting credentials to His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. During the meeting, Minister Shahid expressed his appreciation for Russia’s longstanding relations with the Maldives, especially Russia's contribution towards human resource development and the enhanced people to people links that exist between both countries.
Ambassador Dzhagaryan assured the Minister of his commitment to work with the Government of Maldives to further strengthen bilateral relations between Maldives and Russia during his tenure.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by State Minister Ahmed Khaleel, Foreign Secretary Ahmed Latheef, Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary Economic Cooperation Dr. Hussain Niyaaz, Joint Secretary Shiuneen Rasheed and Desk Officer Aminath Shaistha Hamdan Zaki.
