The newly appointed Ambassador of Egypt calls on Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel

The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Maldives, Adel Ibrahim, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel today, following the presentation of his letter of credence to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, at a ceremony held earlier this morning at the President’s Office.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Dr. Khaleel welcomed Ambassador Adel and congratulated him on his appointment. Minister Khaleel expressed confidence that the Ambassador’s tenure would contribute positively to further strengthening the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between the Maldives and Egypt.

The Minister and the Ambassador’s discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and identifying new avenues for partnership in sectors of shared interest. The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their dedication to deepening shared priorities and working closely together at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

Foreign Minister Dr. Khaleel was accompanied by Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Ambassador-at-large, Abdullah Hameed, Joint Secretary Khadeeja Najeeha, Senior Under Secretary Fathimath Naeema, and Deputy Desk Officer Malsa Mohamed.
