Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Norway presents credentials to the King of Norway
Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Federal Republic of Germany, Her Excellency Aishath Shaan Shakir, presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty King Harald V, King of Norway as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Norway at a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Oslo today.
During the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Shaan conveyed personal greetings and warm felicitations from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the King, the Government, and the people of Norway. She further expressed her commitment to strengthening existing bilateral relations and close cooperation between the two countries.
During her visit to Norway, Ambassador Shaan held discussions with Mr. Vegar Brynildsen, Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway and senior officials of the Ministry to explore potential avenues of collaboration in areas such as climate change, sustainable development, waste management, blue economy and education among others.
Ambassador Shaan also paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Maw Maw, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Oslo.
