Newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner of The Gambia to Maldives calls on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
The newly appointed Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of The Gambia to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Mustapha Jawara has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today. His Excellency Mustapha Jawara is the first non-resident High Commissioner of The Gambia to the Maldives.
During the meeting, State Minister Khaleel congratulated High Commissioner on presenting credentials as the Non-Resident High Commissioner from The Gambia to Maldives and welcomed the High Commissioner to the Maldives. Highlighting the friendly bilateral relations between the two countries, State Minister Khaleel exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest and the scope for further areas of cooperation.
High Commissioner Jawara thanked the State Minister for the warm reception for the High Commissioner at the Maldives, assured of his commitment for greater levels of support and engagement from Gambia during his tenure.
State Minister Khaleel was accompanied by Fathimath Najwa, Joint Secretary and Ali Zahir, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
