The newly appointed High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to the Maldives, Nicholas David Low paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, today, following the presentation of his letter of credence to the President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, Minister Dr. Khaleel congratulated High Commissioner Nicholas Low on the presentation of his letter of credence to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, and discussed on various collaborative efforts in areas including education, climate change and enhancing the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the Maldives and the United Kingdom.
High Commissioner Nicholas Low thanked the Foreign Minister and reassured the Minister of his commitment to elevating the partnership with the Maldives during his tenure.
Minister Dr. Khaleel was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya, Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Ambassador-at-Large, Abdullah Hameed, Senior Political Director Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Chief Desk Officer Aminath Shaistha Hamdan Zaki.
