The newly appointed High Commissioner of Cyprus to the Maldives, Evagoras Vryonides paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel today, following the presentation of his letter of credence to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office yesterday.
During the meeting, Minister Dr. Khaleel congratulated High Commissioner Vryonides on the presentation of his letter of credence to His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu yesterday and reflected on the importance of the ties of friendship and cooperation with Cyprus.
High Commissioner Vryonides expressed his gratitude to the Foreign Minister and assured to work together on issues of mutual interest between Cyprus and the Maldives including education, health and tourism during his tenure.
Minister Dr. Khaeel was accompanied by Secretary Dr. Hala Hameed, Ambassador-at-Large Abdullah Hameed, Senior Under Secretary Hassan Hussain Shihab, Senior Political Director Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Assistant Director, Maryam Fathika Fayaz.
