The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Maldives, KOY Kuong paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer today, following the Presentation of Credentials to His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Zameer congratulated Ambassador Koy on his appointment and expressed hope that the friendly ties between the Maldives and Cambodia will be further enhanced during his tenure.
Minister Zameer and Ambassador Koy exchanged views on reviewing the existing bilateral cooperation agreements signed between the two countries, especially in the fields of health and economic cooperation. Both Minister Zameer and Ambassador Koy also reiterated their commitment to continue working closely on issues of mutual benefit at the multilateral fora.
Minister Zameer was accompanied by Foreign Secretary, Fathimath Inaya, Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed and Additional Secretary Farzana Zahir.
