Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Moosa Zameer was called upon today by the newly accredited Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to the Maldives, Damiano Francovigh.
During the meeting, Minister Zameer congratulated Ambassador Francovigh on the presentation of his letter of credence to His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu this morning.
Ambassador Francovigh thanked the Foreign Minister, and offered his assurances that he would work to enhance bilateral relations and trade between Italy and the Maldives during his tenure.
Minister Zameer was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya, Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Senior Under Secretary Hassan Hussain Shihab and Senior Political Director Ahmed Haanee Naeem.
