The newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Maldives, Kong Xianhua paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel today, following the presentation of his credentials to the President of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Dr, Khaleel congratulated the Ambassador on the presentation of his credentials to the President and expressed confidence that the bilateral ties between the Maldives and China will continue to prosper during his tenure.
Furthermore, Minister also conveyed his appreciation for the continuous support and assistance provided by the Government of China to the people of the Maldives, particularly in advancing the socio-economic development of the Maldives.
Ambassador Kong Xianhua expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome, and reassured his commitment to further enhancing the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership between China and the Maldives.
Minister Dr. Khaleel was accompanied by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheryna Abdul Samad, Additional Secretary Amin Javed Faizal, and Director Maryam Bassama Farooq.
