The Minister of State for External Affairs of India, V. Muraleedharan arrived on an Official Visit to Maldives this afternoon.
The External Affairs Minister was received at Velana International Airport, by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit Minister of State for External Affairs is scheduled to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of Gan International Airport Development Project and Addu Reclamation Project, facilitated under Indian Line of Credit. During the visit, Minister of State for External Affairs will call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
During the visit, exchange of several Memorandums of Understanding between the two countries will take place at a ceremony to be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister of State for External Affairs will also participate in the inauguration ceremony of the three tourism zones developed under the High Impact Community Development Project, in Addu City, Feydhoo, Hithadhoo and Hulhudhoo.
The State Minister is on a two-day Official Visit to the Maldives.
