Minister Dr.Khaleel sends a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ghana

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has sent a message of condolence to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, following the death of Ghana's Defence Minister, and Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and other key  officials in a tragic military  aircraft crash  in the Ashanti Region. 

Minister’s message reads as follows:

"It is with deep sadness that I learnt of the unfortunate incident involving a military aircraft crash, which led to the untimely death of Hon Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence of Ghana, 
Hon. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and other key officials of Ghana. 

On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Government and the people of Ghana,  particularly to the families and loved ones of those affected by this tragic incident.  

During this time of  national mourning, please know that the Maldives stands in solidarity with the people of Ghana as they mourn this profound  loss .
