The High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Malaysia, Dr. Mariyam Shabeena Ahmed, presented credentials to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, on Tuesday, 9 July 2024 at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur.
The High Commissioner was received in audience by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, following the submission of Credentials.
During the audience, the High Commissioner conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim for his good health and happiness, as well as for peace, prosperity and happiness of the people of Malaysia.
His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim congratulated the High Commissioner on her appointment and assured her of the full support and cooperation of the Government of Malaysia in discharging her responsibilities in her capacity as High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Malaysia.
The High Commissioner conveyed her gratitude to the people and Government of Malaysia for their support to the Maldives, as the two countries continue to strengthen the long-standing friendly relations between both countries.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by Minister Counsellor Aishath Samaha.
