The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid has sent a congratulatory message to His Excellency Espen Barth Eide, on his appointment as the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Norway
Minister’s message reads as follows:
"Excellency,
It is my pleasure to convey my warmest congratulations on Your Excellency’s appointment as the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Norway.
This year, we mark 39 years of diplomatic relations between our two countries. I am confident that, under your able leadership, the friendly ties and collaboration between the Maldives and Norway will continue to enhance in the years ahead.
Let me also convey my best wishes for continued progress and prosperity of the people of Norway. Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
