The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, held a meeting with the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, today.
Minister Shahid expressed gratitude to Administrator Power for the dynamic and robust USAID Maldives portfolio. Further, Minister Shahid emphasized his anticipation of USAID expanding its program portfolio in the Maldives.
During the meeting, Minister Shahid and Administrator Power discussed the progress of their collaboration on USAID programs aimed at strengthening democratic governance, advancing public financial management, and protecting Maldives' delicate marine ecosystem, all of which hold significant importance for the Maldives.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Maldives to the United States of America, Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed and Chief of Protocol, Ahmed Shiaan.
