The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, has concluded his official visit to Budapest, Hungary today.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, has concluded his official visit to Budapest, Hungary today.
During the two-day visit, Minister Shahid met with his counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, and held extensive discussions to further strengthen the already robust relations between the two nations.
Minister Shahid also had meetings with the Vice President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Csaba Hende, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Levente Magyar, an Executive/Board Member of the Hungarian Tourist Agency, László Könnyid, and several other senior government officials.
Additionally, Minister Shahid met with Maldivian students pursuing higher education in Hungary under the Hungarian Government's Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme.
Minister Shahid was accompanied on the visit by Uz. Ali Zahir, Chief of Staff at the President’s Office, Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary, Bilateral, Mr. Radu Morar, Honorary Consul of Maldives in Hungary, and Ms. Fathmath Lamya Imthiyaz, Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
