The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has sent a congratulatory message to Takeshi Iwaya, on his reappointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I am pleased to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency on your reappointment as the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. Your exemplary leadership and experience will undoubtedly bring great success during your tenure.
On 14 November, the Maldives and Japan will mark 57 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations, a friendship built on trust, shared values, and close collaboration across sectors, with people-to-people ties at the cornerstone of our enduring relations. Japan’s contributions have spanned across all corners of the Maldives, playing a significant role in fostering lasting economic prosperity, improving livelihoods, and enhancing the well-being of our people, with every Maldivian, both directly and indirectly, benefiting from Japan’s support towards our national development.
