The Government of Maldives strongly condemns the heinous attack that targeted the residence of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.
Targeting of diplomatic facilities is a blatant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and international laws on diplomatic immunity. The Government of Maldives reaffirms the necessity of upholding the inviolability of diplomatic premises, in accordance with international treaties and customs that regulate diplomatic relations.
The Government and the people of Maldives stand in solidarity with the Government and the people of UAE during this time.
