The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel sends a condolence message to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and External Trade of the Republic of Vanuatu, Matai Nawalu Seremaiah, following the earthquake in Vanuatu.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Government and people of Maldives, I extend our deepest condolences to the Government and people of Vanuatu following the recent devastating earthquake. We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of lives and the destruction caused by this tragedy.
As fellow Small Island Developing States, we stand in solidarity with Vanuatu during this difficult time. I offer my sympathies to those who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods.
I extend my best wishes for the success of the recovery efforts currently underway.”
