Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has sent a message of felicitations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Wang Yi, on the occasion of Chinese New Year.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“On the wonderful occasion of the celebration of Chinese Spring Festival and the beginning of the Year of the Snake, it gives me great pleasure to extend my felicitation and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of China.
Let me also take this opportunity to express our profound appreciation and gratitude for the close cooperation and continued support extended by the Government of the friendly people of China to the Maldives. I am confident that the close ties of friendship and partnership between our two countries will thrive and further strengthen during this auspicious Year of the Snake, which symbolizes transformation, renewal and spiritual growth.
I wish to convey my personal best wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of China.”
