Disarmament and Non-Proliferation

The Maldives firmly believes in the United Nations Charter to ensure that conflicts are resolved, not through violence, but through dialogue and mediation.

The Maldives advocates for disarmament and non-proliferation. The Maldives has acceded to several treaties and conventions on disarmament and non-proliferation such as Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) and UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).
