The Government of Maldives strongly supports the continuous efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemen crisis, including the recent talks hosted by the Kingdom with a Yemeni delegation to resume the discussions held in Sanaa in April this year.
The Government of Maldives expresses hope that the discussions hosted in the Saudi capital Riyadh, would culminate in a permanent ceasefire and lead to lasting peace, in line with the Yemeni people’s desires for security, progress and prosperity.
The Government of Maldives calls on all Yemeni parties to respond positively to these efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
