Vice Minister Sun Haiyan concludes her official visit to the Maldives
Her Excellency Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister International Department, Communist Party of China, departed today after concluding her official visit to the Maldives from 21 – 23 January 2024 at the invitation of His Excellency Moosa Zameer, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During her visit, Vice Minister Sun Haiyan paid courtesy calls on His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Mohamed Aslam, Speaker of the Parliament and His Excellency Moosa Zameer, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Vice Minister Sun Haiyan also attended a donation ceremony hosted by A.Dh. Mahibadhoo Council.
The visit is another important step in strengthening the diplomatic relations between Maldives and China, building on the recent successful state visit to China by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Vice Minister Sun Haiyan was seen-off at the Velana International Airport by Her Excellency Sheryna Abdul Samad, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
