The newly appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives calls on Foreign Minister Shahid
The newly appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, today.
During the meeting Minister Shahid welcomed the High Commissioner and congratulated him on presenting credentials as the High Commissioner of Pakistan in the Maldives. The Minister further noted the excellent bonds of friendship that exist between the two nations, and exchanged views with the High Commissioner on ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
High Commissioner Gilani thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and expressed his commitment to work closely with the Government and the people of Maldives to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by Secretary Bilateral, Dr Hala Hameed, Additional Secretary, Ibrahim Uvais and Assistant Director, Aishath Fareena.
