State Minister Ahmed Khaleel pays courtesy call on Foreign Minister of Bangladesh
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H.E Ahmed Khaleel paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh H.E Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen as part of his ongoing official visit to Bangladesh. State Minister Ahmed Khaleel was welcomed by Foreign Minister Dr. A.K Momen at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
During the bilateral meeting, State Minister Ahmed Khaleel discussed the close relations between Maldives and Bangladesh, and avenues to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two countries. Particular focus during the discussion was placed on strengthening the Foreign Service of the Maldives and other new areas of cooperation.
State Minister Khaleel further noted that the Maldives values its relations with Bangladesh as a close and historical partner and expressed his appreciation for the numerous contributions made by Bangladesh to the socio-economic development of Maldives.
State Minister Ahmed Khaleel was accompanied by, H. E. Ms Shiruzimath Sameer, High Commissioner of Maldives to Bangladesh, Ms. Khadeeja Najeeha, Joint Secretary, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives and Mr. Ahmed Fazeel, First Secretary at the High Commission of Maldives in Bangladesh.
