26 November 2013, Male'; His Excellency Mr. W. W. M. R. D. Sarath Chandra Dela, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Maldives paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Ms. Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs today.
At the call, High Commissioner congratulated the Minister. High Commissioner also thanked the Government for the close ties with Sri Lanka and assured Sri Lankan government's commitment to strength the cordial relations between the two countries.
Minister Dunya also thanked the Government of Sri Lanka for the continuous support to the Maldives. She also expressed that Maldives strongly values the close relations between the two nations and hoped to work closely for the mutual benefit of both countries.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Dr. Chanaka H. Talpahewa, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Fathimath Inaya and Director, Ms. Farzana Zahir.
