9 July 2014; The Maldives is a member of the Interpol since 1984 and follows a practice of enforcing Red Notices issued by the international organization.
Most recently the Government of Maldives has given effect to such a Red Notice on 5 July 2014 in locatinga Russian national in the country who had been wanted by the Interpol. The Government of Maldives followed its past practice in dealing with the matter.
