3 March 2012, Male'; President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan today signed the Book of Condolence placed in honour of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Mr. Fathulla Jameel who passed away on 1st march.
In his condolence message, President Waheed highlighted the long service of the late Minister Jameel and noted his passing away as an occasion of national grief. Recalling the late Minister Jameel's contribution to national service the President expressed his prayer for the Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal paradise.
The Book of Condolence has been signed by Cabinet Ministers, senior officials of the Government, state dignitaries and members of the Maldivian Diplomatic Service.
The Late Minister Jameel was a distinguished statesman and diplomat. The National flag will be flying at half-mast from 2nd to 4th March 2012 in mourning of his passing.
