25 April 2014; President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this afternoon met with members of the Beijing Urban Construction Group, an international comprehensive construction group, mainly involved in general contracting, real estate development and design, and consultancy.
At the meeting, the President noted that foreign investors would play a major role in carrying out the future mega development projects in the Maldives.
Members of the Beijing Urban Construction Group briefed President Yameen on the key infrastructure development projects they had undertaken in China and in other countries. The Group also expressed their interest in en
gaging in the infrastructure development of the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
