07 October 2013, Male', A private television channel, Raajje TV, as well as a computer show room at the B.K.T Building in Male', was set ablaze in the early hours of today. A statement released from the President today, has strongly condemned this act and has requested all the relevant authorities to apprehend the perpetrators of the attack and assured that the Government will do everything to serve justice.
The President also expressed his concern over such activities by certain parties to promote their political needs, during a time of political unrest, causing huge loss to private possessions and properties. Such activities can create a lot of chaos and can lose the stability and harmony of the country.
The President, strongly urged everyone, especially all the political parties to refrain from activities that could lead to more chaos and requested to give special consideration in protecting the peace and well-being of the citizens and the county.
