The National Committee established for the implementation of the Post 2015 development Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) held its first meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs Her Excellency Ms. Dunya Maumoon.
Minister Dunya emphasized on the important role of the National Committee for the effective implementation and monitoring of the Post 2015 Development Agenda and SDG’s nationally. The Post 2015 development Agenda which is to succeed the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) will be launched at a High Level Summit to be held in New York this September.
The members of the National Committee include Minister of Health Ms Iruthisham Adam and State Ministers from President Office, Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Foreign Secretary of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
