Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Oman presents Credentials to the Sultan of Oman

His Majesty the Sultan congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his term, and conveyed best wishes to His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih

The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Maldives to the Sultanate of Oman, His Excellency Mohamed Khaleel, presented his Letter of Credence to the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, at a ceremony held at Al Barakah Palace, this morning.

During the courtesy call following the ceremony, Ambassador Khaleel expressed his gratitude for being given the honour to present his Letter of Credence, and serve as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Oman. Ambassador Khaleel also conveyed greetings from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives and expressed the commitment of Maldives to work closely with Oman to enhance the existing ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. His Majesty the Sultan congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his term, and conveyed best wishes to His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Prior to presenting his Letter of Credence to the Sultan, Ambassador Khaleel presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to the Foreign Minister of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, on 15 February 2021.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court of Oman, the Foreign Minister of Oman, the Head of the Royal Protocols of Oman, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan of Oman. The Ambassador was accompanied to the ceremony by the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Maldives in Saudi Arabia, Hussain Sinaah.
