Newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of Tunisia to Maldives calls on Foreign Secretary
The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Republic of Maldives, Her Excellency Hayet Talbi has paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Secretary, His Excellency Abdul Ghafoor Mohamed, today.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Secretary Ghafoor congratulated Ambassador Talbi on presenting credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador from Tunisia and welcomed her to the Maldives. Deliberating on the long-standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Tunisia, Foreign Secretary Ghafoor and Ambassador Talbi reiterated commitment on behalf of their respective Governments to work closely together to strengthen bilateral ties and intensify collaboration and exchange between the two countries.
Ambassador Talbi expressed her gratitude for the assurances of support from the Government of Maldives and reflected on her plans to deepen cooperation between the two countries on areas of mutual interest, during her tenure.
Foreign Secretary Ghafoor was accompanied by Mohamed Faisal, Additional Secretary and Moomina Ibrahim, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
