Newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of Sweden to Maldives calls on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
The newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, His Excellency Jan Thesleff paid a courtesy call on the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed Khaleel, today.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Minister Khaleel welcomed Ambassador Thesleff and congratulated him on presenting credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador from Sweden to Maldives. State Minister expressed confidence that the Maldives and Sweden would continue to further collaborate in areas of mutual interest such as environment and climate change. Ambassador Thesleff assured of his eagerness and commitment to work with the Government of the Maldives and reflected on his plans to deepen cooperation between the two countries, during his tenure.
State Minister Khaleel was accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Latheef, Foreign Secretary, Dr. Hala Hameed, Secretary-Bilateral, Ms. Shiuneen Rasheed, Joint Secretary and Mr. Adam Hamid, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
