The newly appointed Ambassador of Türkiye to the Maldives, Semih Lütfü Turgut, paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, today, following the presentation of his letter of credence to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, Minister Zameer offered his congratulations to Ambassador Turgut on his appointment, and expressed his hope that the relations between the Maldives and Türkiye will be further enhance during his tenure.
Ambassador Turgut thanked the Foreign Minister and extended his assurances of his commitment to working with the Government of the Maldives to explore avenues for further cooperation.
Minister Zameer was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya, Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Ambassador – Designate of Maldives to Türkiye Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, Senior Under Secretary Hassan Hussain Shihab, Senior Political Director Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Chief Desk Officer Aminath Shaistha Hamdan Zaki.
