Ambassador of Norway to the Republic of Maldives, Trine Jøranli Eskedal, called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, today.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon, Foreign Minister Shahid congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and expressed confidence that the bilateral relations between Norway and Maldives would be further strengthened during the Ambassador’s tenure.
Minister Shahid and Ambassador Eskedal exchanged views on enhancing connectivity between both countries and also on strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as environment and climate change and cooperation at the international arena.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by Ahmed Khaleel, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Shiuneen Rasheed, Director and Saifulla Waleed, Desk Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
