Newly appointed Ambassador of Netherlands to the Maldives calls on Foreign Minister Shahid
The newly appointed Ambassador of Netherlands to the Maldives, Bonnie Horbach, made a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid, this afternoon.
During the meeting, Minister Shahid congratulated Ambassador Horbach on her appointment and highlighted on the longstanding relations that exist between the Maldives and the Netherlands. Both Minister Shahid and Ambassador Horbach also exchanged views to further enhance cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of environment and climate change. Minister Shahid and Ambassador Horbach also reaffirmed their commitment to continue working closely in the multilateral arena.
Minister Shahid was accompanied by Secretary Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Shiuneen Rasheed and Assistant Director Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim.
